Hello. Welcome to the World History website for Mr. McDermott. Below are the classes that I teach and some basic information about each course.AP World History is a course designed to do a number of things. Preparing students for the AP World History test from College Board is the primary goal of the class. However, having a strong knowledge of history as per the AP curriculum will benefit students as well.Government is a course designed to teach students about the federal and state government entities that they will have to come in contact with throughout their life time. Sutdents who enjoy subject matter in this field usually go on to study law, political science, and even philosophy and pursue many different careers in government such as law, law enforcement, teaching, politics and social work.
